Thought, Spoken, written, delivered;
Happy, Sad, angry, snappy, factual, 
The earth carries the weight of them:
Laboriously, painfully, grudgingly
Over generations she has carried;
Ours, our parents', our grandparents',
Our greatgrand parents', our great great grandparents',
Ever since Adam and Eve-
People gone, but the weight remains.
She yearns for silence:
A wordless, thoughtless, quiet;
A blotless, markless sheet of horizon;
A calm, vibrationless flow of air and water;
A pause for her to take a breath -
An exhale to burst them out and cleanse;
A moment of featherlight swim
In the cosmic ocean.
