Prayered accident

I was the prayered accident,
Your pampered child:
Smitten and bowled over by your loving strength,
As you suddenly vanished into thin air,
I seek you:
In the house, On the streets,
At the school, Within my insides!
I discover glimpses of you within me:
Your eyes in mine,
Your walk is mine, I am told.
Your sit in mine, I am told.
Yet, "you" are not found:
The majestic, yet kind,
The loving, yet strict,
The soft-spoken yet firm,
The blessed, yet humble you!
I summon up my pride
And beseech help to imitate you:
Failing miserably,
My pride dissolves-
That I wrap myself in shame:
Unwarranted friends,
Unapproved habits,
To lose the you in me.
Much to my chagrin,
I discover
I don't exist without you
I don't exist without you
Here, I am, a mere survivor,
The prayered accident!

Immigrants

We belong
Neither in the clouds
Nor in the land.
The Clouds busy huddling together,
The land busy nurturing the natives,
We are the stranded drops:
Having not a leaf to claim us,
We hustle cloud to land
And land to cloud
Back and forth,
Forth and back:
Deceived by the assumed embraces,
Weighing a million pounds within:
The love mirages that flaunt us.
Yet, tirelessly we drag
Our bodies, souls and hearts
Scattered across space
Permanently torn
Seeking the sewing threads:
Threads to bridge earth and sky
Atleast the thread to sew our torn parts together.
